Building a Brand That Was Never Meant to Blend In Doodh Soda. The name alone makes you pause. Curiosity. Confusion. Excitement. Sometimes, all three. And that was exactly where we began with Doodh Soda, positioned as India’s first milk soda brand. The product already had an element of surprise. Our challenge was to build a brand that felt just as unexpected. Rather than playing it safe or over-explaining the concept, we leaned into the curiosity and built an identity that was fun, expressive and confident enough to own its category. Bold typography gave the brand its voice, while playful illustrations brought its personality to life. The cans took that idea even further, with each flavour getting a distinct personality of its own. ● Classic Cream kept it cool. ● Mango brought the sunshine. ● Strawberry brought the fun. Different flavours. Different moods. One unmistakable Doodh Soda universe. The result is a brand designed to make people stop, look twice and, most importantly, remember. Because when the product sparks curiosity, the branding should give people a reason to keep looking. Got a product that deserves its own world? Let’s build it. #DoodhSoda #BrandingDesign #BrandIdentity #BeverageBranding #PackagingDesign #CreativeBranding #DNDesigns

The first impression happens on the shelf. Premium packaging helped makhana stand out long before consumers tasted it.

India's makhana market crossed ₹9.29 billion in 2025, and it's on track to nearly double by 2034. Most people still think of it as prasad. A fasting-day snack. Something sold loose by weight in the bazaar. Nobody thought of it as a brand category. Until recently. Here's what actually happened: Exports crossed ₹150 crore a year, with real demand building in the US, UK, UAE, and Southeast Asia. Packaging moved from loose, unbranded bags to resealable pouches and pastel-coloured designs that look as good as the product tastes. New brands entered targeting Gen Z specifically - bold flavours, D2C-first, social-led marketing. None of this happened because the seed changed. It happened because someone finally looked at a ₹150/kg bazaar staple and asked: what if we treated this like almonds? Like quinoa? Like a category worth premium packaging and premium pricing? That's the whole game in branding an "unglamorous" product. It's rarely about invention. It's about noticing the value that was always there and finally designing for it. Which everyday product in your market is still waiting for someone to do this? #BrandStrategy #PackagingDesign #Branding #FMCG #BrandIdentity #D2C #FoodBranding #DNDesigns
