If you’ve been running a lockdown build and struggling to find a jump shot that feels smooth and consistent, you’re about to get put on game with NBA 2K26 MT. In this guide, we’re breaking down one of the most reliable and effective jump shots in NBA 2K26 - the Jarrett Culver base jumper, customized for 6’9” locks and wing builds. This setup has been tested through multiple rec and theater games, delivering elite efficiency even with a modest 83 three-pointer rating.

The Jump Shot Breakdown
Let’s start with the details. The jumper uses:
· Base: Jarrett Culver
· Release 1: Kevin Durant
· Release 2: Maluba (Blend: 33% KD / 67% Maluba)
This custom blend gives you the perfect balance of smooth release timing, visual consistency, and arc control. The shot feels natural - no awkward pauses or glitches - and the follow-through is clean, helping with muscle memory.
You’ll need to be Starter 4 to unlock the Jarrett Culver base, but trust me, it’s worth the grind. If you’re not there yet, don’t worry - other strong alternatives will be covered in an upcoming video. For now, if you have the unlock, this jumper is elite for locks and hybrid forwards who want to stretch the floor without sacrificing defense.

Why This Jump Shot Works
The Jarrett Culver base has been a fan favorite since 2K24, and it’s back stronger than ever in 2K26. The motion is compact and smooth, meaning it’s less likely to get contested heavily even when defenders are close. While it’s not the absolute fastest release in the game, the slight delay actually helps you green more shots consistently - especially under pressure or when catching off movement.
When paired with a 6’9 lockdown build, max wingspan, and shooting specialization, the shot becomes even deadlier. Despite only having an 83 three-point rating, you can still shoot at an elite clip once you’ve learned the timing. In real gameplay tests, this build shot 85% from three and 71% from the field over 15–20 rec games - ridiculous numbers for a non-sharp archetype.

Extra Tips for Maximum Efficiency
1. Focus on your hotspots.
Grind badges in the Rec early so your shooting zones light up. That green zone boost stacks perfectly with the Culver base’s consistency.
2. Upgrade pass accuracy.
Even as a lock, throw at least a few attribute points into passing. It helps you make quick, clean kick-outs - and stops you from getting stuck in long animations.
3. Learn the post game.
With a decent mid-range rating, the 6’9 lock can hit post fades and hop shots easily. These come in clutch when your team’s offense stalls and you need to create something out of nothing.
4. Don’t remove LeBron’s dunk package too fast.
Even though the LeBron animations sometimes get blocked, they’re explosive and useful. Just be smart about when you use them - don’t force dunks through heavy traffic.

2v2 Theater and Beyond
The same jump shot shines in smaller game modes too. In the 2v2 theater, even with random teammates, the Culver base holds up. Whether you’re spacing the corner or pulling off a step-back at the top of the key, the jumper remains consistent. Its natural rhythm helps you green under light contests - shots that would normally brick with other bases.

Final Thoughts
The Jarrett Culver / Kevin Durant / Maluba (33/67) blend is easily one of the best jumpers in NBA 2K26 for 6’9 lockdowns and wings. It’s smooth, predictable, and forgiving - the kind of jumper that rewards timing more than attributes.
