For general gathering, a balanced approach between Delicate Touch and Proficient Handling is dependable, with remaining points placed into Lady Luck. A commonly used safe distribution is 10/10/5. This setup provides a stable foundation without relying too heavily on lucky rolls.

Choosing Specialty Skills Wisely

Specialty Skill Points offer more specialized bonuses. The game includes six main resource categories: Ore, Gems, Wood, Herbs, Cooking Ingredients, and Odyle. Every ten levels provide an additional Specialty Point, with a maximum of fourteen points.

Unlocking Professional Extraction

Essence Extraction progression initially stops at Novice Level 50. To continue toward the maximum level of 100, you must complete the quest that upgrades your extraction rank to Professional.

The required quest is given by Alzirr for Asmodians or Korius for Elyos. One of the important objectives is obtaining a Splendent Ruby, also called a Splendid Ruby. A useful location for finding it is the Verdderon Fortress Valley waypoint, near the destroyed Abyss Gate and collapsed pillar.

Before traveling there, temporarily investing a Specialty Point into Gem Seeker can make ruby nodes easier to locate.
