Free Progression Covers Gameplay Rewards

The Free Track is available to every player. There is no Premium purchase required to access the gameplay progression included in the new pass.

Weapons, tools, and other gameplay-related rewards are placed on this track. This means players can continue developing their characters and inventory without paying for the Premium portion.

The Free Track also contains five character outfits, 200 Raider Tokens, and more than 20 cosmetic rewards. These include Outpost furniture, emotes, charms, weapon attachments, and Scrappy outfit variants.

For players who mainly care about playing raids rather than collecting cosmetic variations, the Free Track provides the core progression they need.

Premium Focuses on Cosmetics

The Premium Track uses the same 60-level structure but adds a much larger collection of cosmetic rewards.

Access costs 1,150 Raider Tokens. Premium rewards include alternate outfit versions, exclusive colorways, custom hairstyles, and weapon stencils. These additions are designed for visual customization rather than giving players stronger combat abilities.

One notable feature is the token return. Completing the Premium Track provides 1,150 Raider Tokens through its rewards, matching the stated access cost. When combined with the 200 tokens available from the Free Track, players can earn a substantial amount of currency while completing the full progression.

Players can also access the Reward Pass through the Frozen Trail Collector Set DLC, which includes additional content and Raider Tokens.

Legacy Protects Previous Progress

The Legacy Pass is perhaps the most straightforward track because it exists primarily for existing players.

The three original Raider Decks are being consolidated into the Legacy Pass. Any progress players made before the Frozen Trail transition is preserved, allowing them to continue working toward older rewards.

This means someone who was halfway through an older Raider Deck does not have to abandon that progress simply because the main progression system has changed.

The Legacy Pass is also free. Its purpose is to preserve access to older content rather than introduce another paid progression layer.

Why the Cred Change Matters

Cred is being retired as part of the same transition. Players who still have unused Cred should pay attention to the October 8 deadline because the currency expires when Frozen Trail launches.

This is different from the Legacy Pass. Old Raider Deck progress carries forward, but unused Cred does not simply become part of the new Reward Pass economy.

The new system instead puts more attention on Raider Tokens and the three-track Reward Pass structure. Checking old currency before the update is therefore one of the simplest things players can do to avoid leaving resources unused.

What New Players Should Know

A new player entering after Frozen Trail will not need to understand the old Raider Deck system to start progressing. The Free Track provides the basic path, and Feats give players a way to advance through its levels while playing the game.

Premium is optional and primarily matters to players who want additional visual customization. Legacy is more relevant to people who already have progression from the older Raider Decks.

That separation makes the system relatively easy to approach. Players can begin with free progression and only think about the other tracks when they have a reason to use them.
