When the chain lands, the screen can fill with valuable currency, uniques, and Rite of Passage items. When it does not, the map can feel like a costly lesson. That is why this method is less about rushing through packs and more about setting up one strong interaction properly: getting a Sacred Spirit onto a Strongbox, then letting that possession spread across the map.

Build the Map Around the Chain

The basic idea is simple, even if the execution is not. Sacred Spirits are the orange ones, and they need to reach a Strongbox instead of wandering into a random rare monster. Once that happens, the right Otus setup can cause possessed enemies to gain extra spirits. Those enemies die, more spirits come loose, and nearby chests become new targets. Hare is usually the spirit players want to see because its monsters can return after death, which gives the chain another shot at continuing. Fox can still work, especially with Hilda, since it pushes monster rarity upward and can create plenty of Unique enemies. The map needs lots of targets, though. Three Expedition Tablets with extra Buried Strongboxes and Azmeri Spirit chance are a solid base, while the fourth Tablet should add more spirits. Ezomyte City is the natural place to run it, since its scaling works well with this setup and the Grass biome raises the chance of finding a Sacred Spirit.

Choose the Right Support Layer

Most players looking for the biggest payout will lean toward 200% Delirium. It adds more monsters, more drops, and more reasons for a successful Fox chain to get out of hand. It also makes the map much tougher, so it is not something to force on a character that is already struggling with dense encounters. Sacred Bloom Wildwood is a fair alternative if you want fewer moving parts. Your Atlas Master matters here as well. Hilda is the pick for players who can survive the extra pressure, because possessed Unique monsters can release spirits on death. That gives Fox far more value. Doriani is easier on a fragile setup thanks to the extra portal and stronger map effects, particularly for Hare runs. The trade-off is that some Fox maps will not feel worth the spend. For Otus passives, take the Sacred Spirit chance from Grass, the extra random spirit interaction, and the chance for possessed monsters to release spirits. After that, choose Primal, Wild, or Vivid based on whether you care more about currency, rarity, or quantity.

Set Up the First Strongbox With Care

This is where plenty of runs go wrong. Clear the area around your Sacred Spirit first. Rare and Unique monsters near it are a problem because the spirit may latch onto one before you can guide it to a chest. If the map has no Sacred Spirit, it is usually smarter to save the rest of your tools for another attempt. When you do get the right orange wisp, lead it to a Strongbox and check that first chest closely. A chest guarded by two rare packs, or by roughly seven or eight packs, is a much better starting point than a weak one. Extra rarity on Strongbox monsters and additional monster modifiers also help. Reroll it if needed. Then use Omen of the Hunt, apply a Cryptic Key, open the chest, and pay attention to where the released spirits travel. If they head for another Strongbox, you have something worth building on. Repeat the process only while the chain still has momentum.

This farming style rewards patience, a sturdy character, and a willingness to walk away from a poor setup before more resources disappear into it. Corpse destruction is a major issue, so characters that constantly shatter enemies may work against Hare's revival loop. Visual clutter can be rough too; use a strict filter, skip low-value pickups, and avoid extra effects that turn the fight into a slideshow. The best runs can be huge, but they are not a fixed income stream. Treat each map as an investment, keep a healthy reserve of POE 2 Currency Orbs for the next setup, and judge the strategy across several attempts rather than one lucky chest.
