Anyone hunting the Dolabra Shotgun Blueprint in Flashpoint learns the same thing fast: this one doesn't come from casual looting. You can open crates for hours and get nowhere. The schematic is tied to the Close Scrutiny condition, and that means going after an ARC Assessor dropship. If you've already been stocking up on ARC Raiders Items, you'll still need more than gear here. You need a clean run, good timing, and a squad that doesn't panic when the fight gets messy.
Finding the ship and getting through the first fight
The dropship itself is easy to spot. A red beam slams down from the sky and basically tells the whole lobby where to look. The problem starts when you arrive. Assessors are protected by some of the roughest ARC enemies in the update, especially Surveyors and Vaporizers. Those units don't just soak damage. They force you to move, split focus, and burn resources fast. In most runs, the team that survives is the team that clears methodically instead of rushing the entrance. You really do need to treat the outside fight as the first gate, because if you waste ammo and healing there, the inside usually falls apart.
What the loot grind actually feels like
Once the area is under control, you can finally breach the sealed compartments inside the ship. That sounds simple, but this is where the grind shows its teeth. The Dolabra Blueprint isn't guaranteed, and it shares the loot pool with other rare ARC materials. So even a successful run can feel like a miss. The reason people put up with the farm is simple: the weapon is good enough to justify the pain. After you extract with the blueprint, it unlocks permanently at the Gunsmith, assuming your progression is high enough. The Dolabra stands out because it isn't just another shotgun with bigger numbers. Hip-fire gives you a broad electric blast that melts targets at close range. Aim down sights, though, and it tightens into a focused beam. That second fire mode is the real selling point. Against armored targets, especially Vaporizers, it hits with far more control than most players expect. It feels weird at first, then suddenly it clicks, and you start wondering how you played without it.
The materials you still need after the blueprint
Getting the schematic is only step one. Crafting the weapon asks for Shredder Gyros, Magnetic Accelerators, and Vaporizer Regulators, and that last one is where many players get stuck again. Regulators only come from specific enemies added in the same patch, so the farm keeps going even after the "big drop" happens. That's part of why the Dolabra has turned into a prestige weapon. It shows you survived the hardest content and kept grinding when most people would've stopped. If you're serious about building it, keep your route tight, save your best resources, and don't ignore chances to pick up Epic Material during your farming sessions, because the crafting bill hits harder than a lot of players expect.
