U4GM Where to Craft Industrial Explosives in Arknights Endfield

At some point in Arknights: Endfield, exploration stops being about fighting and starts being about access. You spot a blocked tunnel, a sealed chest, maybe one of those ugly Blight barriers, and that's when you realise your squad can't solve everything. Industrial Explosives are what actually open the map up, and getting them online early makes a huge difference. If you're still feeling stuck, a lot of players also look into Arknights endfield boosting while they sort their base out, because once the production chain clicks, the whole game feels less stop-start and a lot more fun.

Get the right tech first

You can't make explosives the second you want them. First, you need to push the story until you unlock the Basic Expansion Core. That upgrade lets your base reach Basic AIC Level II, which is the point where the useful factory stuff starts showing up. After that, go straight for the Packaging Technology node. That's the key one. It unlocks the Packaging Unit, and without it you're not really producing anything, just hoarding materials and wondering what you're missing. A lot of people get tripped up here because the game doesn't exactly hold your hand, but once that unit is placed, the system starts to feel much more readable.

What you need for each explosive

The recipe is simple on paper: 1 Aketine Powder and 5 Amethyst Parts for every Industrial Explosive. In practice, it takes a few steps. Aketine usually starts as a manual grind. You'll head out to places like Valley Pass, grab the plants by hand, then process them later. Once your base develops a bit more, you can stop doing the scavenger routine and set up Planting Units plus a Seed-Picker. Feed the harvest into a Shredding Unit, and that covers the powder side. Amethyst Parts come from a more standard factory chain. Mine Amethyst Ore, refine it into Amethyst Fiber, then move that fiber into a Fitting Unit. It's not hard, but it does ask you to think in stages instead of just crafting from a menu.

Why automation is worth it

You can craft explosives manually, sure, and sometimes that's enough if you only need one or two. But that's not how the game really wants you to play for long. The better move is to automate the loop and leave it running. Connect your powder line and your Amethyst Parts line to the Packaging Unit with conveyors, make sure your power grid can support the load, and let the factory do its thing. Once it's stable, you'll get a steady stream of explosives every few seconds without babysitting the process. That's the moment the system goes from slightly annoying to genuinely satisfying. You stop thinking, "Do I have enough?" and start carrying a proper stack everywhere.

Why keeping extras matters

A decent explosive stockpile saves time, plain and simple. You'll burn through them on hidden routes, puzzle objectives, blocked loot spots, and side paths that don't look important until they suddenly are. It always feels bad when you're deep into a remote area and have to trek all the way back because you forgot to pack bombs. That's why getting this line running early is such a strong mid-game decision. It smooths out exploration, cuts down on pointless backtracking, and makes Talos-II feel far less restrictive. If you're trying to speed that process up while building a more reliable account, plenty of players end up checking Arknights endfield boosting buy options so they're not wasting hours stuck behind the same progression wall.
