Non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foams represent one of the most promising sustainable alternatives to conventional polyurethane foams, offering comparable performance without the use of toxic isocyanates. Environmental Benefits

Life-cycle analysis has demonstrated that microalgae-based non-isocyanate polyurethane foam achieves greenhouse gas emission reductions of 58% compared with conventional polyurethane foam production. This reduction comes in addition to the benefit of reduced toxicity potential compared to the isocyanate polyurethane pathway.
