Glycerin production and processing is a fascinating journey that transforms natural fats and oils (or petrochemical derivatives) into a versatile, high-purity chemical. Traditional batch distillation is giving way to more efficient continuous ion-exchange and membrane-separation systems that can achieve 99.7%+ purity at lower energy costs .
